Ernie Omega first caught our attention amidst the flashing lights and thumping beats of a dance club –Shits & Giggles in downtown to be exact. He and partner Walki Talki were wearing some wild get-ups, yes, but it was clear thought, craftsmanship and a love of high fashion were involved. The fearless stylist and designer’s work goes beyond club kid couture, too. Omega will be contributing “Looks of the Knight” regularly under this section.

This past Tues. was the much anticipated arrival of the Jeremy Kost Show at the Standard Hotel in West Hollywood “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” as well as the Book Signing & Party for “It’s Always Darkest Before Dawn” his new book at The Marc Jocobs Store (BOOKMARC) on Melrose.
An assortment of characters — all craving Kost’s signature visual vignettes — came out for both. At the party, I was happy to mingle with Hollywood Lawn (Warholian Muse) as well as Los Angeles’s Fashion “it” kids.
Bookmarc made 200 special editions of the book for the Jacobs event, hosted by Stylist Brett Baily. The after-party at The Standard was filled with even more outrageous characters, as well as drag performances by models from the exhibit. The fashion trend I spotted (pun intended) was Polka-dots! Not only was I wearing them, everyone was, be they black, white, red, or blue.
