WORN OUT: Glinda the Glam Witch of the North

Our blog launch bash at Mr. Black was a tornado of a night brimming with green-glittered scenesters, ruby red ragers and looks that made us say, “Oh My.” Going to a theme party where LA’s most glitzed out gays frequent is serious biz, and when we agreed to be Glinda (to fellow b-day girl Cassie Carpenter’s Dorothy), we knew some half-ass princess gear was not gonna cut it. Serious outfit prep was in order…

When:

Tuesday., Aug. 2

Where:

Wizard of Oz party at Mr. Black

WEARing:

Pretty in pink with a ’70′s disco twist.

What:

Pink Charlotte Russe dress (bedazzled crystals all over front side)

Steve Madden Pink Glitter Platforms (scored at Nordstrom Rack– for half off!)

Glitter crown from Michael’s Crafts (glued three together, added crystals and jewels… it fell apart that night hence the solo crown in pic)

Vintage rhinestone jewelry

Star necklance and two-finger ring star ring- Forever 21

Body glitter galore

Why:

Every gal should wear a crown on her birthday, right?

Special thanks to Luke Nero and Andres Rigal for hooking me up VIP style, and Bobby Webster for my gorgeous table display.

Shout-out to my galpal Ms. Gennan whose sexy silver Tin Woman (put together almost entirely from Ozzie Dots) was one of the best getups of the night.

Check out my LA Weekly slideshow from the party here.
