Happy Halloween!! What to do, who to be, and what NOT to play

The biggest party weekend of the year is here, and in between scarmbling to put together a costume, we invite you to come out to Micheltorena Elementary in Silver Lake today and enjoy the First Annual Great Pumpkin Festival! Bands (Kennedy is back!), food, games, crafts, a haunted house and yours truly playing Halloween tunes (early), all for only $1! It goes from 11 am- 5 pm, so stop by after the Farmer’s Market up the steet. Click HERE for more details!

Our Halloween-themed Moheak Radio show with Mike Odd and Marky Makeup was terrorifyingly fun, but with a frightfully full week, we haven’t posted the video — or the reveal of our fab vampiric makeup job — yet. Be on the lookout for that on Monday (actual Hallows Eve)…

In the meantime, check the wicked write-ups we did for LA Weekly this week below, with suggestions for the best Halloween haps, music-themed costumes (and how to make them slutty… because that’s what *most* gals do on this ho–liday) and sounds that’ll scare music snobs away. (Special sneak peak at some of our setlist from today too!)
