Die With Your Face On- Glam & Glossy Gift Sets For The Holidays

Waited until the last minute to pick up your Christmas gifts? Not to worry, because I’ve got some sparkling  little makeup gems to tell you about this week, and all of them  can be picked up locally or online. Every vixen on your list loves beauty products (if they don’t, you can be the one to introduce them!) As you all know, it’s my life’s work to make this city more alluring one face at a time. A good way to get even non-cosmetic crazed gals into experimenting, is with sets.

They give you big savings and are pretty good proof, plus they feature a lot of limited edition pieces and the packaging tends to be prettier. They save you from choosing the wrong colours, as they are usually stocked with best sellers and different little bits and bobs for the recipient to choose from. Another plus? The tiny travel sizes will be much appreciated on a tipsy New Year’s Eve because they can easily fit into a pocket or teeny purse. Feeling lucky or trying to get lucky? Grab your charge card and let’s get started.

Let’s begin from highest priced to lowest, shall we?

NARS Kabuki Brush Set- at $225, this is a heavy hitter for your wallet. The presentation of this is everything in a sexy lipstick red-backed wooden bento box. These great quality brushes will score you some major points with the artsy type on your list.

Makeup Forever Wild & Chic Aqua Cream Collection- This is a highly coveted set for the weekend fashionista’s list. The long lasting cream shadows are in flattering neutral colours that can be easily smoothed on for a long workday or smoked out for a night on the tiles. $175

Tweezerman Luxe Edition Crystal Slant Tweezer- This warms the cockles of my little Liberace lovin’ heart. A decadent tweezer covered in Swarovski crystals, you can choose from classic clear, red or pink. $100 There’s also a matching crystal stand for $125 if you’re feeling really glitzy.

NARS Danmari All About Cheeks Palette- For the truly cheeky. This palette features 4 pink blushes (including cult favourite, Orgasm) a bronzer and a highlighter. It’s a fresh face in a box. Everyone needs these life-giving colours for the morning after those nights you can barely or don’t want to remember. $65

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Shadow Pencil Stash and NARS Kabuki Mini Soft Touch Eye Shadow – Both of these are fat little shadow pencil sets, perfect for quick applications. The Urban Decay set of four is perfect for saucy she-devils who might need a bright glittery turquoise or purple shadow that they can smear on in the car. It also comes with two neutrals for a muted sparkle. $34. The NARS set is an amazing set of 6 for the sophisticate shadow lover. The colours in this range from bright metallics to deep shades. The rich colours are inspired by Kabuki theatre makeup. $55

NARS Sweet Disposition Mini Multiples Set- The multiples are, just as the name suggests, an all in one product that can be used anywhere on the face and body. Well known and loved within the makeup community, these 3 little tubes will have you after glowing all night long. $40

Anastasia Kisses on my List- First of all, the value of this set is insane. 6 full sized glosses for $30. Secondly the colours are soft, lovely, and work for every skintone. This is a perfect set for greenies on your list. Non sticky and hydrating, with no over the top shades or diva glitter chunks. The glosses have no fragrance, are made with plant extracts and brown algae. They contain no parabens, sulfates, synthetic fragrances, synthetic dyes, phthalates, GMOs or triclosan.

Anastasia All Eye Want Palette- This palette of 9 shadows is really wearable and workable. I am impressed by their stamina! Shadows on viagra! The colours range from cool to warm and deep shades to light shimmery neutrals. This set is for the natural sensitive babe who wants to look polished but doesn’t want a lot of (cosmetic) chemicals. Paraben, petrochemical and pthalate free. $32

My recommendations to up the glam on New Year’s Eve: Tarina Tarantino’s Sparklicity in Pure Crystal and Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics’ New Year’s Eve Prep Set. Sparklicity will make you shine like a dewy diamond. It has different sized particles, and an opalescent sheen. This isn’t your old school crafty glitter, this is feminine, delicate but still helps you to be a showstopper. It comes in different shades but the original is my favourite. Dot some on your lids or cheeks and shine on. The OCC prep set contains the fabulous NSFW lip tar (mentioned in my red lipstick column!), a shimmery red polish, Resolution, Mirrorball silver multi reflective-coloured glitter, Ironic loose colour, skin primer and a lip brush. This set is a knockout addition to your regular makeup for an unforgettable NYE look. This set is limited and they sell out quickly so grab it while you can!

Hottie Holidays!
