After a perfectly sin-sational West Coast launch party for ODD, the fashion store brainchild and baby of owner Judson Harmon and myself, ODD’s hard-working creative director, we knew we had to conjure up some fabulosity for our New York fashion week launch, which fittingly was held at Southside at the close of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. In doing so, we called a few of our close friends who we were certain would put the “H” in Haute Couture, the “O” in Opulence, and the “T” in Terrifyingly Glamourous. ODD model and NYC legend Sophia Lamar, Morticia Adam’s long lost son, Rhyan Hamilton, and Judson and I slaved away with our hosting duties, while Greg K of Misshapes and NYC fixture Spencer Product whipped everyone into a frenzy with their terribly chic music mixes.
Guests included Oscar Lima of Olima Atelier, designer Heather Lawton, adult film legend Brittany Andrews, rising Off-Broadway star Ryan Raftery, and James Gillespie from Rick Owens.
As the party wound down, a Whitney Houston sing-a-long punctuated a night of heavy drinking and sweaty dancing, while everyone seemed to shine in their darkest and most fabulous ensembles. It was a night to remember, and a night sure to put ODD on the map. See more pics from friends at Rolling Blackouts.
