Told Ya So… Goldenvoice Takes Over Music Box

By Diamond Bodine Fischer

Remember when we told you — first! — that The Music Box was closing and how sad we all were? Remember how we predicted that there would be a night in (golden) shining armor? Looks like we called it. And yeah, it’s kinda what everybody in music circles knew (hoped) would happen:  Goldenvoice is officially taking over the space.

Better yet, things are already lined up, papers filed and the venue will be awoken from its slumbers March 17 – for those who’ve never worked in the nightlife industry in Los Angeles, that’s lightning fast. Goldenvoice will be the exclusive operator and promoter of the venue which goes back to using a Hollywood-star inspired moniker: it will now be called “The Fonda Theatre.” They have shows regularly booked all the way into June already, the first being FEED ME with TEETH.

Let us all raise our glasses and toast to the Goldenvoice-Fonda marriage, and the years of incredible shows at one of LA’s best places to see live music. Fonda, we’ve missed you, never leave us again!

See schedule and announcement, as sent out by Goldenvoice yesterday, below:
